Semenyih Forest
Semenyih Forest is a mature secondary forest at the southeastern corner of Kuala Lumpur. As with Ampang Forest, it is also connected to the greater Titiwangsa Range. Rare reptiles and amphibians has been sighted here from time to time. Steven Wong has been visiting and camping at this site since his early childhood, and it is the location where he first learnt how to herp. Many of his early lifers are found in this place.
This trail can be dense in certain areas, especially near the start. The main trails is an old logging trail that is broad. There will be some mosquitos at the village near the start of the trail but it peters off as we enter deeper into the forest. There may be quite a lot of leeches throughout this trail especially during the rainy season so long pants, long sleeved shirts and hiking boots / rubber boots are recommended.
